Really Wild Stargazing

Really Wild Stargazing

The North of England is home to the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park & its many public Dark Sky Discovery Sites, Kielder Observatory, the borders and Hadrian's Wall.  In addition, Wark in Northumberland hosts the Dark Sky Discovery Observatory at the multi-award-winning Battlesteads Hotel.  The Battlesteads Hotel in particular is a place where one can truly stargaze in style sleeping in one of their standard rooms, or a luxury stargazing eco lodge, (complete with king sized bed and whirlpool bath in the huge on-suite bathrooms) and eating in their award winning restaurant sampling local and regional produce.

If however, the adventurer in you wants to go off the beaten track then we have a range of experiences for you.

Stargazing on the Beach: Northumberland is home to some of England's Darkest skies, and pristine beaches - why not combine the two?

Astronomy off the beaten track: A few minutes away from one or two villages in Northumberland are some easily accessible areas with very Dark Skies.

Really Wild Stargazing: re-wild under dark skies for an evening of stars, stories and space.

These are bespoke experiences primarily based in the North of England (although we're happy to help you stargaze anywhere) so get in touch if you want to find out more.
